A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a certain email mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. To put it differently, if you delete an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any misspelled address under the exact same domain name, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be essential if you run some company, for example. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited bulk email messages, you can combine the catch-all functionality with email filters in order to get only legitimate emails in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you’ve got a shared hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel includes quite a few features, but it’s amazingly easy to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox requires only one single mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be shown in this section in alphabetical order and you will only need to click the "Catch-all" button associated with the particular address. Our system will notify you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either disable the latter feature or pick another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as simple and requires yet another click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be created with a couple of clicks in case you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with our company. The hosting account will be managed through our custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up email addresses using any domain name hosted there. To enable the catch-all feature for a specific mailbox, you will need to click on the icon with the same name, which will be on the right side of each mailbox. Disabling this feature can be achieved in the very same way and will not take more than one click either. If the catch-all functionality has already been enabled for a given domain name, you will receive a warning notice. The same is valid if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never modify or deactivate anything automatically.
